Your new companyHays Education are currently supporting a Dudley based SEN school looking to appoint a School Business Manager. The role is to commence ASAP. There is an opportunity for temporary to permanent for the right individual. The role will be Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. Your new roleWorking closely with the head teacher you will have responsibility for the finance, H&S and HR operations within the school. You will be responsible for ensuring that:

  • Best value is obtained for all services engaged and purchases made within school
  • the administration and site teams work smoothly and efficiently
  • Annual budgets are adhered to, and applications are made for available grants to provide additional external funding where possible.
  • Provide regular reports for the head and governing body for the school.
  • Line management for Admin, site, and catering staff.

What you'll need to succeedThe successful applicant will have:

  • Excellent organisation and communications skills
  • Demonstrate high standards and expectations of themselves and direct reports
  • Experience and skills in financial management, including budgetary planning, control, and auditing
  • A high level of IT literacy
  • Experience with SIMS/ FMS / Voyager
  • Experience of HR management - Absence, probation etc
  • Experience with Facilities management.
  • Experience with Special school budget setting
