Senior Credit Product Manager

Hybrid - London Waterloo

As a senior manager within Currys' Credit team, the Senior Credit Product Manager will ensure Currys' credit product is run well, delivers great customer outcomes, enables achievement of financial performance targets and identifies opportunity for credit product improvement

The Senior Credit Product Manager is accountable for the end to end management of Currys' credit product. This includes ensuring it complies with all legal and regulatory standards, it supports delivery of commercial performance targets, it delivers great outcomes for customers, it remains competitive and relevant for customers, and for identifying opportunities for it to continue to remain relevant and appealing to customers

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
  • Day to day management of the credit product to ensure that the product functions in line with expectation to enable delivery of key business sales, credit penetration, profitability and customer outcomes objectives
  • Collaborate with key functional stakeholders across Currys to ensure the expected product experience is delivered to customers, and to identify any resolve any issues that risk that experience
  • Establish productive and collaborative relationships with external credit provider organisations
  • Close collaboration with research, insights and analytics teams to monitor and measure product performance and identify future product enhancement opportunities
  • Monitor and respond to market developments, including: customer insights, competitor insights, regulatory requirements, product innovation & system developments
  • Collaboration with Product Development and Change Management Functions to progress roadmap into business requirements
  • Ensure the product complies with all relevant legal, regulatory and Currys' product governance requirements
  • Maintains dialogue with prospective lenders and credit partners

    You will need:
    • Experience running and managing a regulated consumer credit product within a financial services organisation is essential. Having managed a revolving credit product, such as a credit card, is highly desirable.
    • Experience across product management lifecycle, from discovery, to delivery, optimisation and governance
    • Evidence of being outcomes oriented, and managing a range of product levers to create commercial and customer value
    • Conduct led mindset, and track record of shaping, launching, iterating and growing consumer credit products
    • Understanding of legal (e.g. Consumer Credit Act) and regulatory (e.g. CONC & Consumer Duty) framework within which consumer credit products operate, is essential
    • Able to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels, across all functions within the Currys matrix, and with external partners, and leverage these to execute Credit agenda
    • Understanding of UK consumer credit market, including regulatory requirements, market trends and commercial drivers
