The Material Outsourcing Manager is a pivotal role within our Third Party Management team, responsible for overseeing and managing the bank's, (Chetwood Financial), Material Outsourcing and Critical & Important arrangements with our major suppliers. This role ensures that all material outsourcing activities and other regulatory requirements comply with our regulatory commitments and align with the bank's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with outsourcing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for new contracts and renewals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions that protect the bank's interests.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement and oversee performance metrics to monitor vendor service levels, quality, and compliance. Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Risk, and IT, to ensure alignment and support for outsourcing strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting outsourcing activities and ensure all outsourced services comply with relevant laws and guidelines.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the bank's outsourcing strategy, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications, (e.g., CIPS, PMP) preferred.
Extensive experience in vendor management, procurement, or third-party risk management, ideally within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to outsourcing in the banking industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in contract management and procurement software.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaborative efforts.
