The D&S Technical Analysis team is responsible for ensuring that best available implementation patents will be used in licensing and litigation projects. The team interfaces with many internal teams like Licensing, Litigation, Patenting and Portfolio & Technology Management teams, as well as external Reverse Engineering companies and counsels from different countries.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Perform portfolio mining together with internal and external experts to identify patents for testing and claim charting in the field of end user devices of cellular technologies.
  • Planning and conducting reverse engineering and testing of target devices with experienced colleagues and reverse engineering firms to identify infringements of our patents.
  • Supporting the patent licensing and litigation projects by giving technical support on the identified patents and infringements.
  • Perform various other tasks to support the needs from patent licensing and to ensure the quality of our implementation patent portfolio.

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Strong and broad technical background in 4G and 5G standards and end user terminal related implementations of such standards.
  • Creative thinker/problem solver mind relating to reverse engineering strategies and claim charting.
  • Strong experience on patenting and good understanding of patent law as well as MSc or similar qualification in a relevant technical field such as electrical engineering or computer science.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Patent attorney or patent agent qualification such as European/US Patent Attorney or US Patent Agent.
