Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am-5pm; Fridays 7am-1:30pm

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join their supportive team in Andover. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimising their machinery and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and safety. This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and general faults
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
  • Collaborate closely with the production team and report to the Production Manager
  • Implement improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and efficiently
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects
Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar position
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible approach to work, with strong problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
Desirable Experience:
  • Familiarity with computer-aided maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field
