About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations at Abel & Cole. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of maintenance engineers to execute effective troubleshooting and planned preventative maintenance routines to prolong the useful life and optimize efficiency of our production and facilities equipment.
- Ensure minimum response times to equipment breakdown and provide maintenance cover for production areas at all times.
- Carry out repairs on machinery in all areas of our operations as expediently as possible and liaise with production personnel to minimize downtime.
- Make decisions under pressure and ensure that all repair and maintenance documentation is maintained in full compliance with regulatory guidelines, GMP, and company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Actively champion a culture of H&S and pride in the workplace.
- Identify and recommend improvements, replacements, and repairs as appropriate.
- Manage day-to-day maintenance spending in line with the Site Services budget.
- Train and develop maintenance staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an electrical and mechanical maintenance role within a commercial manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical diagrams.
- Experience of installation and maintenance of various electro-mechanical equipment/systems.
- Hold at least level 3 City & Guild building services 'electrical installation route' and/or Level 3 Diploma in Installation of Electrotechnical systems & equipment.
- Experience of working within and leading a diverse workforce.
- The ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
- Professional, honest with integrity.
- Experience working with a CMMS.
- IT literate, particularly in MS Office applications.
- Good understanding of LOLER/PUWER regulations.
- A knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
