We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, a female prison based in South Gloucestershire.

This is a rare opportunity to make a real difference to your patients, with the flexibility of working 16 hours per week, where you can manage your own appointments, and deliver leadership to the healthcare team. Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community.

Hours

This is a part time role, working 16 hours per week over 2 days. Days and shifts will be discussed at interview.

Salary

For this part time role, you'll receive an annual salary up to £120000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

As a General Practitioner your responsibilities will vary. You will

Assess patients face to face, responding to their medical issues, including diagnosis, investigation and treatment
Regularly review medications, and monitor repeat prescriptions
Provide medical leadership and expert advice regarding medical and primary care issues to the wider healthcare team

As our new GP, you will have:
MBChB or MBBS
Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
Evidence of continuing professional development
Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
