A Principal Analog IC Design Architect is sought to join a growing and successful company situated in Reading, UK working on Power Management ICs.

Working within a dynamic and experienced team of engineers, the Principal Analog IC Design Architect will be working on developing power management blocks including; capacitive DC-DC convertors, charge pumps, linear regulators and buck controllers.

The position will include feasibility studies, design and evaluation, as well as liaising with product engineering functions.

Other responsibilities will include:
Assisting Marketing in defining new products through feasibility studies and technical competitive analyses
Schematic capture, IC layout, simulation, package analysis, evaluation board design, design validation
Product Documentation
Working with test engineers to ensure testability is incorporated in the product during design
Project Management including development of resources and schedules

Industry degree qualified the successful applicant will have a minimum of 10 years experience in Analog IC design in CMOS with experience in some or all of the following; Switch Mode Regulators, Buck and Boost Regulators, DC-DC convertors, charge pumps, linear regulators, buck controllers, bandgap voltage references, low-drop out voltage regulators, switches and operational amplifiers.

Experience working on highly customised Power Management architecture definition is required including experience in; Cadence Composer, Cadence Virtuoso, Verilog-AMS, C.

Experience in SOI processes is an advantage.

You will be a strong team player who is willing to both teach and learn where appropriate, display technical expertise and architecture level understanding whilst keeping your technical skills current.
