The Senior Project Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible to drive strategic IT projects across Leica OneIT.

This position is part of the Leica OneIT project management team located in the UK and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Accountability for assigned projects from conception through to delivery in accordance with agreed goals and objectives.
  • Definition and update of project planning and tracking deliverables including but not limited to Scope, Budget, Schedule, Risk and Resource planning.
  • Actively maintain a project dashboard that captures the key program metrics and risks for quick and accurate review by the team or senior management.
  • Provide monthly project progress updates to the Steering Committee and as required to Level 1 and Level 2 Project Planning Groups.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and metrics to ensure an approach of open and clear communication is maintained throughout the project. The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of program/project management experience.
  • Experience in orchestrating multi-disciplinary product development teams through IT PRoject lifecycle.
  • Accredited in a formal program or project management
  • Advanced skills in project planning, scheduling, tracking and risk management.
  • Commercial and financial management experience. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Program or project management experience in a regulated industry.
