Boyd Recruitment are currently working alongside one of the leading companies operating in energy, renewable and telecommunication, who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Officer.

Our client s core business largely focuses on the Transmission and Distribution Energy Sector.

The Job

The Warehouse Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing goods, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently. The Warehouse Officer will ensure that all warehouse activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  • Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
  • Manage waste segregation, in warehouse, offices, yard and by incoming teams.
  • Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment.
  • Supporting the Transport Manager on minor repairs to vehicle, taking vehicles for repair, tyres etc.
  • Delivery of materials to site as and when required.
  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
  • Interact with clients to resolve problems or answer questions.
  • Communicate and organise activities with other teams and departments.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required.

The Person

The successful candidate will have experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position. They will have strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management, be proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software and the following:

Qualifications

English & Maths (Essential)

Fluency in English Language spoken & written (Essential)

Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook/Word/Excel (Essential)
