London, Greater London, United Kingdom KINGS COLLEGE LONDON Full time

About Us

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for a position of Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on an international research project on psychosis, titled INTREPID III, led by Professor Craig Morgan.

About the Project

INTREPID III is a 5-year international research programme funded by the MRC. The ultimate and ambitious goal of the programme is to transform our knowledge of and responses to psychotic disorders globally by: (1) delivering novel research programmes on medium-term course and outcomes, homeless populations, and putative mechanisms of risk and relapse, (2) establishing a global study catalogue and data sharing platform, and (3) implementing a structured set of activities in each setting to ensure findings inform the development, and ultimately testing, of bespoke interventions.

About the Role

The postholder will be based in the co-ordinating centre (Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London) and will be responsible for a) overall co-ordination of the INTREPID III programme, b) supporting and liaising with each participating centre to ensure planned activities are conducted in line with the programme timetable, and c) contributing to collating and analysing material and data generated by the INTREPID III programme. Travel to each site in each of the partner countries will be required.

The post holder will have experience conducting mental health research, excellent knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, and excellent knowledge of the social determinants of health. They will have experience of working on interdisciplinary international research projects, experience of working with people with mental health problems, strong organisational skills, and a proven ability to work in diverse teams and liaise with other professionals and academics across cultures.

Career Development

We will also support you in developing your academic career, including through fellowship applications and other applications to external research funders (whether led by you or by others in the team), exploring collaborations with others, and research and wider professional skills development through local Early Career Researcher Networks and the College's wider training programme.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years, until July 2026

This is a full-time post.
