We are looking to welcome part-time Store Assistants to join our amazing team. We are looking for people across various customer facing areas across the store.

In the IKEA world, we call this position a Sales Co-Worker.

Expected Starting Date: August 2024.

Interviews for this role will be on a drop in basis in the customer restaurant on the 31st of July between 5:30pm until 8:30pm.

WHAT WE OFFER

• £12.00 basic hourly rate.

• IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer.

• We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling and regular weekends off.

CONTRACTS
Various Contracts hours available hours working 3-5 days out of 7, including late evenings and weekends. A full discussion around availability will be held at interview.

We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers. This role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends.

Please be aware that the IKEA Edinburgh Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.

• You are always passionate about the range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.

• You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.

• You are competent with IT, Microsoft office, using the internet and relevant programmes to support selling to the customer.

• You will have a combination of administrative work, meeting the customer and preparing for next days delivery.

• This is a physically demanding role which involves manual handling and walking throughout the store.
