The Governors wish to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, talented and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader of Modern Foreign Languages who will support the continued development of our Modern Foreign Languages department. We are looking for a passionate and motivated teacher who believes that all pupils can achieve their full potential and will challenge them to unlock that potential and develop the tools they need to explore beyond what they consider to be possible. An inspirational and innovative classroom teacher and leader, who is passionate about Modern Foreign Languages and keen to improve standards for all pupils. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age range and be committed to raising standards of attainment and developing the success of the department. They will set high expectations for themselves, their department and the pupils. The successful candidate should have the ability to offer French and another language in order that we can expand our offering to pupils.

Hurstmere School is a popular, non-selective secondary academy for boys aged 11 – 16, serving the local community of Sidcup. It is a special place, with a strong sense of community and a determination to succeed in all that we do.
