You will be responsible for managing Responsible Business (RB) activities within the Fit Out & Retrofit Construct Business Unit (BU). We have a project based in Kings Lynn for a heavy refurbishment of a multi-use community hub, and a new framework of multiple projects across Norfolk to decarbonise existing fire stations, libraries, educational facilities and residential, both for Norfolk Council as our client. Own transport and willingness to travel between these different sites is required.

You'll be responsible for:

Delivering purpose-led and measurable outcomes on projects.
Ensuring all targets (legal, client and Mace) are being delivered.
Doing the basics right – legal compliance, legislation, Mace Way.
Ensuring projects contribute to the 2026 Mace business plan KPIs and targets.
Being aware of client and market needs to evolve and maintain necessary competencies.
Having regular engagement with your client and consultants (share knowledge, check in, provide informative insights, project updates and case studies).
Managing data quality (i.e. QA the data sets) and identify insights that you can act upon.
Driving improvements and better outcomes (not just reporting).
Innovation – Measuring and tracking, delivering meaningful and measurable outcomes.
Bid supporting to the BU leads in construct.
Delivering in an appropriate way to exceed the clients' expectations but ensuring it is deliverable.

You'll need to have:

Relevant degree and membership of an environmental or sustainability body.
Proven track record of sustainability work.
Knowledge of the construction process.
Ability to translate technical topics into layperson language and articulate the value of sustainability.
Communication skills, both oral and written.
Self-motivation and ability to self-manage.
UK driving licence and car and be willing to travel across Norfolk to all project locations.
