Job Description

We're looking for someone to join the Fund Derivatives Structuring team in Global Markets who:

  • contributes to a team of experienced, international and enthusiastic professionals, tasked with the design and implementation of fund-linked products and financing solutions for Global Wealth Management & Investment Banking clients and prospects
  • contributes to the growth of the book of business by building and maintaining client relationships, and providing innovative solutions to meet these clients' various needs
  • increases profitability and return on assets through the delivery of bespoke solutions
  • stays abreast of legal and regulatory changes, the bank's capital requirements, return hurdles, transaction types, and de-risking strategies
  • assesses new opportunities, forming a view on the relative risk/reward proposition including broader benefits to UBS
  • develops new and innovative solutions to support clients' investment strategies
  • collaborates with other product specialists and stakeholders across Global Wealth Management, Investment Bank and Asset Management in conjunction with external professional service providers

Your team

As part of the Fund Derivatives Structuring team within Global Markets we are responsible for the, design, execution, and lifecycle management of financing solutions secured by Hedge Funds and Private Equity, and fund-linked products for UBS Wealth Management, Investment Bank, and Asset Management clients globally.

Your expertise

You have:

  • a degree in law, economics, finance, science, engineering or mathematics and 5+ years of relevant work experience such as a structurer, lawyer or trader in the fund financing / fund derivatives field
  • ideally legal experience (private practice or in-house) in fund finance or leveraged / structured finance
  • deep understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks and principles applicable to fund financing and fund derivatives
  • experience in preparing/reviewing collateralised loan documentation
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • understanding of financial markets, instruments and alternative investment strategies
  • a strong, principled work ethic, and a proactive, driven approach
  • the ability to be an effective, collaborative, team player
