Reporting to the Senior Finance & Admin Manager, the Manager will oversee the central UK&IE Finance & Admin team, to support all locations with standardised, accurate financial analysis, reporting, customer invoicing and cost management.
Manage the team to complete timely, accurate weekly financial reporting and processing of cost/revenue.
Understand and perform appropriate month-end tasks, including budget/forecast management.
Analyse and provide commentary on results - perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
Continuously improve processes and reporting to maximize automation.
Quickly and efficiently create new reports for specific projects or business initiatives to provide performance insights.
Ensure team are working to the agreed RPP and trained to the required level.
Key Tasks
Ensure the quality and accuracy of customer invoicing & financial reporting is maintained to the highest standard to enable fact-based, insightful decision making.
Seek to continually improve processes, maximising automation.Monitoring, on an ongoing basis, the performance of all direct and indirect reports, undertaking regular reviews in accordance with the Company's procedures.
In addition to ensure that the employee engagement concept known as the People Plan/appraisal system is always embedded and practiced.
Reconcile revenue and cost management systems to ensure correct period posting. Identify within the P&L where a revenue/cost accrual is necessary and follow this process through. Firm understanding of the accrual process to ensure accruals are dropped/carried forward where necessary. Perform P&L variance analysis, providing commentary and recommendations to stakeholders. Provide in depth analysis to support the budget/forecast process. Provide Adhoc analysis for site specific needs.
Confident Finance lead for project meetings such as new customers, new sites, customer moves or exits. Understand the CAPEX process and manage /report costs in line with this. Accurately maintain cost trackers, presenting current spend vs actual in project updates. New customer invoice file creation.
Maintain effective liaison with site management up to General Manager level. Ensure rate/profile changes communication is clear and confirmed in full for correct customer invoicing. Accurately update invoice files to reflect changes in rates/profile.
To promote, support and implement the sites continuous improvement program/s and ensuring costs / savings are captured appropriately.
Promoting the good name of DSV Solutions (and its associated companies within the DSV Group) by always adopting a professional approach.
Ensuring that there is regular communication through team briefings with all direct reports in order that they are made aware of national and local developments affecting the Company.
