We are looking for a motivated and passionate UX Designer with 2 years of experience to join our Product and Development team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to craft user-centric designs that delight customers. You will play a vital role in shaping the overall user experience (UX), delivering cohesive and intuitive products. This role demands a hands-on approach and the ability to mentor and support colleagues. The successful candidate will be based in Manchester and will be required to work in the office one day per week (Tuesday).

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
  • Partner with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and user needs.
  • Contribute creative ideas in brainstorming sessions to enhance user experiences.
  • Engage stakeholders in the research and design process through collaboration, workshops, and presentations.
User Research and Testing:
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to assess the effectiveness of design solutions.
  • Gather and analyze feedback to inform and refine design decisions.
  • Utilize both quantitative and qualitative research methods to validate hypotheses.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing outcomes.
  • Develop personas, user journeys, wireframes, and site architectures.
  • Ensure designs follow inclusive principles and comply with W3C accessibility guidelines.
  • Maintain a consistent user experience across all platforms and devices.
  • Document design processes, user flows, and decisions.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs to inform product development.
  • Identify and mitigate assumptions and risks during product discovery and design phases.
Communication and Presentation:
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and collect feedback.
  • Advocate for your designs and key deliverables to peers and senior stakeholders.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on design work across the team.
Standardization and Best Practices:
  • Help establish standard practices within the design team, including the ongoing development of our design system.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Information Architecture, or a related field.
  • 2 years of UX design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Strong visual design skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Passion for staying current with the latest design trends and technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in B2B environments is desirable.
  • Prior involvement in high-profile design projects within a commercial or B2B setting.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
