Quality Improvement Manager - Primary & Early Years

A new opportunity has arisen within the Education Leadership Team for the role of a Quality Improvement Manager focusing on Early Years and Primary education. This key position involves collaborating with the Education Leadership Team to offer guidance and encouragement to schools and centers, aiming to enhance academic performance and advocate for fairness and equality. Additionally, the role includes ensuring that educational provision aligns with established national standards.

  • The ideal candidate should possess a clear vision for enhancing early years and primary education strategically.
  • Collaboration with various Council departments is essential to guarantee that children have an excellent early years experience and a smooth transition into primary education.
PVG / Disclosure Scotland

For all roles at East Dunbartonshire Council that require PVG/Disclosure checks, the following criteria apply:

If the role falls under Regulated Work according to the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007, selected candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before formal employment confirmation by East Dunbartonshire Council.

Successful candidates are responsible for the associated check costs, which will be deducted from their initial salary payment. In certain cases, deductions may be made incrementally from an employee's wages post-employment commencement, subject to approval from HR Services Lead. Upon resignation before deductions, the full amount will be taken from the final salary.

These criteria also apply to current East Dunbartonshire Council employees seeking roles that necessitate a PVG/Disclosure check.
