Role Responsibilities:
As a Student Immigration Helpline Assistant, you will serve as the first point of contact for students seeking information regarding immigration-related aspects of their university registration.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing accurate and timely information to students on queries related to visas, immigration regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Handling enquiries through online enquiry forms, emails, and telephone calls, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times.
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing information and responding to student queries.
- Transferring or escalating calls to the appropriate departments when necessary to ensure student issues are resolved efficiently.
- Utilising IT software, including Microsoft Office, to manage and document student interactions and ensure all records are up to date.
Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Student Immigration Helpline Assistant role will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is expected.
- Experience providing assistance with Visas/Immigration queries is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Proficiency in IT software, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards problem-solving and helping students navigate their immigration queries.
- The capability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability as required.
