Smile Education are recruiting for a school experienced Attendance Officer to start immediately for a school in Erdington.

This role will be full time Monday – Friday

Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctualityOngoing monitoring of attendance for studentsIdentify students who require support with their attendance.Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern.Raise attendance issues with parents.Meet with both students and parents to support them to improve attendance.Meet with Education Welfare Officer on a weekly basis.Refer students who are not meeting attendance targets.

What to expect from applicants?

We would like applicants to have prior experience working in an attendance-based role within education. Experience in using SIMS/CMIS/BROMCOM/ARBOR is essential.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

Experience in school attendance.Have prior experience in using SIMS or CMIS/BROMCOM/ARBORStrong administrative skillsExcellent levels of communication.
