Responsible to: Advice Services Manager

Citizens Advice Oxford is seeking a passionate Outreach Adviser to join our supportive team. We're proud to have received funding for this role from the National Lottery Community Fund to address the needs of our local residents, particularly those who may struggle to access advice through online, telephone, or email channels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients at drop-in sessions and appointments at our outreach locations across Oxford.
  • Providing generalist advice, benefit checks, and debt assessments.
  • Offering consultations via telephone and email as needed.

    We're looking for:
    • Experience in advice work, preferably with CA or similar agencies
    • Sensitivity in working with a diverse range of clients
    • Understanding of the complexities of client interviews
    • Methodical and independent approach to work and case recording
    • Excellent communication skills and empathy
