Our NPI Software Development team is looking for a program manager to plan, organize and monitor a range of short and long-term software development programs that utilise both embedded real-time software and PC based software technologies.Job Description

Most important responsibilities/tasks

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Own software development programs utilizing proven methodologies in SW Program Management e.g. PMI ACP, Agile/SAFe, PMP etc.
  • Manage schedule, budget, quality, risks, engineering gate reviews & report respectively
  • Create and maintain detailed program plans, holding the responsible parties accountable to deadlines, maintaining risk logs, leading project meetings, and providing regular and timely updates to key stakeholders.
  • Liaise with other stakeholders such as Product leaders and People leaders for everything related to the execution of the software development projects.
  • Coordinate with other functions including Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing to identify and mitigate risks related to assigned projects and dept.


Essential requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and extensive program management experience of complex software development projects.
  • Formal Project Management certifications such as PMI-ACP, Cert. Scrum Master, Product Owner
  • Experience of combining Agile software development processes with formal planning methods to address both software task management and formal milestone tracking / resource loading e.g. EVM.
  • Ideally, understanding of Software Engineering, Embedded/RTOS based development and PC (windows based) development will help to be successful in this role.
  • Experience with project planning software such as MS Project, or similar, is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience presenting to executive level stakeholders. Ability to interact effectively with different business departments and team members.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity & volatility and drive results.
  • Desire to make an impact & to continuously find ways to maximize the team's operational efficiency.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The successful candidate needs to be able to attain security clearance to work on Naval projects.

Desired characteristics

  • Experience working in Engineering/Technical companies similar to our own.
  • Experience of managing both embedded real-time and PC based software development projects.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443 & other cyber security standards.
