About the job

To grow our digital audience and produce informative, entertaining content; we're looking for a Senior Video Producer to join our YouTube team; to expand our production capabilities, develop the quality of our YouTube films, and push our channel to the next level.

As a Senior Video Producer, working in collaboration with our YouTube Director, your core responsibilities will be combining line managing members of our video production team and utlising your technical skills by hands-on producing a monthly quota of premium automotive video features.

You'll be a camera operator, shooting vehicles alongside notable presenters in various locations, with the creative freedom and ideation to produce films in a style in which you and your team feel works. You'll have the autonomy and drive to be continuously looking to push the boundaries and create authentic, high-quality content, helping shape the look and feel of our videos in partnership with our YouTube director.

You'll collaborate with various stakeholders across the business, working on different workstreams and helping advise and guide our commercial partners and marketing teams on the best approach and methods from a video production perspective.

In this role you will have 3 direct reports; a video producer, editor, and production coordinator. You will operate as the lead video producer, camera operator, and post production manager. You'll oversee ideation, production, and scheduling of our YouTube content and ad-hoc non-YouTube video projects.

What we're looking for

  • Broad experience shooting and editing premium automotive content
  • Ability to shoot high-quality video content in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong cinematography skills with experience operating a variety of video and audio equipment, including gimbals, sliders and drones
  • Demonstrable post-production skills, including colour grading, sound design, and familiarity with multi-cam timelines
  • You'll have line management experience and/or the desire/experience to coach/mentor others
  • You'll have a commercial mindset and the ability to advise on potential marketing opportunities
  • Demonstrate a passion and understanding of current trends in the world of video editing and video production
  • Due to the nature of the role, you'll have the flexibility to travel across the UK and worldwide, working flexible hours (occasionally on weekends)
  • You must have a full UK Driving License and access to your own vehicle (business mileage will be included in the remuneration package)

    Preferred experience but not essential includes;
    • Experience using camera rigging systems in an automotive setting, including minicams and clamp and suction systems
    • Experience working from tracking vehicles
    • Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and animation
    • Good familiarity with the YouTube platform and analytics
    • Competent photographer – ability to shoot YouTube thumbnails and additional photography assets
    • Experience shooting native, creative content for social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
