Monday to Friday 08:30am to 17.00pm

£25.00phr Dependant on Experience

We are looking for a Experienced Welder Fabricator for the conversion of bespoke production vehicles for a exclusive automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • To Support the Operations with estimating new work,materials,timings,finshes treatments etc.
  • Ensure that work is kept up to expected standards & completed in a timely fashion and deadlines are met.
  • To highlight and production/ engineering problems with tasks in hands and to identify process and improvement/ efficiency gains.
  • Ensure accurate fabrication of all components to engineering drawings.
  • Ensure time scales are met for fabrication aspect of the conversion process
  • Ensuring the highest quality on showroom level vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
  • Compliance with all departmental Health and Safety requirements
  • Compliance where appropriate with management & environmental systems , such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in production vehicle fabrication and repair.
  • Experienced in TIG welding is essential but capability in MIG welding is an advantage.
  • Experience in welding of the following materials, Aluminium, 4130 / T45/15CDV66 Steel and stainless steel.
  • Must be capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, as well as work freehand as required.
  • Experience in brake press, punches, hand tools, tube bending and sheet metal work.
  • Confidential is the key in this role
  • A Creative thinker who can think outside the box and not afraid to suggest a new way of doing things.
  • Team Player
  • Exceptional planning , organisational skills and time management is a must
  • Ability to work in an ever changing environment
  • Ability to work co-operatively with others to complete tasks and implement process improvements
  • Determined to improve grow and contribute to the department success.
  • Must have a Flexible and Approachable manner
  • Ability to listen to the customers needs and respond accordingly
