Approach Personnel are partnering with our well-respected consultancy client to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for the delivery of each project across various sectors.

Our client is now looking to expand their pre-construction department by recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in East Yorkshire, helping with costing of potential works on exciting new projects.

As a well-respected construction consultancy, this company offers the opportunity to work on some very exciting, bespoke projects, tailored to each client. You can expect to collaborate with some high-profile names across a range of sectors, providing work-winning surveys and reports on major works projects up to GBP20m in value.

Duties

  • Managing the commercial resources (people and finance) of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
  • Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
  • Completing and supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations
  • Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers

About You

  • Proven success working on Major Works projects up to GBP20m in value
  • Hold a degree in a field related to the role, such as Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying and Project Management for either a construction company, consultancy or private practice, with proficiency in related software such as CostX Measurement
  • Full UK Driving License, Own Transport, and the ability to travel to different areas of the UK for site visits

Salary

  • GBP55,000 - GBP65,000 per annum
