Established by husband-and-wife duo Emily Dyson and Ian Paley in 2008, Notting Hill based concept lifestyle store Couverture & The Garbstore has quickly gained cult status through their 'shop independent' philosophy, championing emerging and independent brands from around the world.

We are a company that prides ourselves on our independent, creatively driven approach both in the brands we work with and in the way we develop our roles and people.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, emailing and screening calls
  • Provide administrative assistance through order processing including confirming orders and arranging payment
  • Researching / sourcing new products, contacting suppliers Inputting new stock on to the epos system
  • Purchasing tickets and registering for trade fairs and events
  • Manage all faulty items / missing items / discrepancies / repairs / special orders
  • Compile new product /supplier info for Web department
  • Compile accounts information for accounting department
  • Assisting the head buyer with overall creative input
  • Assisting the head buyer with visual merchandising

    The applicant must possess the following attributes:
    • Fashion or Arts degree preferred
    • 1-2 years experience in the designer fashion / luxury interiors market
    • Retail experience preferred
    • An excellent telephone manner
    • A high level of personal presentation
    • Excellent organisational skills
    • High level of numeracy
    • Excellent written and spoken English
    • Computer literate
    • Highly aware of trends with a love of fashion and design
