Buying Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buying Assistant to join our team at Marivem Recruitment. As a Buying Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Buying Team, develop costing sheets, and manage the ordering process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Buying Team, including developing costing sheets and ensuring price changes and costings are up to date.
  • Manage all stages of the ordering process, including purchase orders, sample requests, and sharing accurate trim and wash care information.
  • Establish strong relationships with worldwide suppliers, acting as a liaison between them and the Buying Team.
  • Take ownership of the Critical Path, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Support the team in managing samples for photography, quality assessment, and showroom display.

Requirements:

  • Meticulous time management skills with a highly organized mindset, demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage projects with deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to work and the business, with the ability to work well as part of a small growing team.
  • Experience working with off-shore factories in the Far East and Asia.
  • Experience within a similar role within womenswear clothing and the ability to come in and hit the ground running.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across the business.

What We Offer:

Full-time role in the office during probation, with a discussion around 1 day from home thereafter.
