Role description:
As part of a growing and agile business, our Environmental Planning team is looking for a Senior Product Owner dIA, to join our global team and play a critical role in our digital transformation.
With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise.
And in some of the world's busiest and most beautiful locations.We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we're feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we're seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:
You will play a critical role in our digital transformation, representing the voice of (Environmental) Impact Assessment (IA) - professionals and translating their needs to our development team, managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Product development:
Be involved in product roadmap development through the development process.
Guide prioritization of features on the roadmap to maximize the delivery of value.
Ensure the development of an appropriately prioritized team backlog and acceptance process.
Determine when acceptance criteria are successfully met.
Ensure product related problems are being solved, decisions made, complete trade-off analysis completed to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
Primary liaison between the End-User and the Development Team:
Make sure regular and productive engagement with Subject Matter Experts and user groups is taking place to understand jobs to be done/ problems to be solved via discovery sessions and interviews.
Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
Product Ownership:
Primarily responsible for the product end-to-end, including setting-up a support structure to Digital IA users.
Responsible for the successful development to ensure Digital IA meets the desired outcomes.
Make sure adequate product documentation is developed.
Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment, in collaboration with the Product Team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree (or relevant equivalent).
Experience and/or certification as Product Owner
Knowledge of Agile principles and process is desirable.
Product Owner / Product Manager certification (CSPO, PSPO or POPM)
Further you are interested in building experience in the delivery of:
Service-based digital products that have a significant impact on core service delivery
A product that require extensive (internal and external) client engagement to validate assumption / test features.
Products associated with significant net margin improvement or growth opportunities.
