As an Area Support Manager, you will be supporting the Area Manager, Unit Managers and teams onsite by getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities, you will be drawn to satisfaction from managing and training your team. The Area Support Manager will support their team in providing a professional service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met. Key Responsibilities include:

To provide management support for catering operations including running of site cater services when required inc. cooking of mealsTo support the operations team in ensuring that catering outlets consistently adhere to the company policies and procedures relating to the use of nominated suppliers, and carry out discussions and negotiations with suppliers, as requestedCarry out checks and audits in the areas of food standards and controls identified sites and report findings to the Head of Operations and appropriate Area Manager.Support Catering Managers in all areas of their management of the catering establishment to ensure that the operational standards are maintained and developedTo ensure all aspects of the Catering Managers functions are carried out whilst covering absencesAssist the Area Manager in preparing and presenting annual client budgets to the agreed company standardEnsure all Team Members under your control, either on a permanent or temporary basis have received full induction and job training that has also been recorded.To assist the area manager with driving innovation throughout the business.To proactively identify to the Area Manager where potential improved financial performance opportunities are possible.Assist the Area Manager in preparing and presenting annual client budgets to the agreed company standardCarry out one-off projects on any area of financial control/ management as requested to support the operations team and company. Investigate innovative ways to enhance the marketing and presentation of the food in the company outlets and carry out feasibility studies, as requested. Assist the sales department in selling of client services, visiting prospective clients and preparing sites for visits, as requested.To assist the Area Manager with client meetings when required.To take responsibility for the Area Manager in their absence.Who you are:
Experience as a Catering / Chef Manager Strong Catering / Culinary backgroundPrevious experience of running multiple P&LsThis is an area role and therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.Proven ability to effectively build relationships and influence internally at a senior levelLed the implementation of change programmes to deliver operational benefitsAbility to drive and retain businessExperience of working within brand guidelines to deliver resultsExperience in highly commercial and price sensitive marketsExcellent communication and presentation skillsDemonstrable success as a credible and confident influencerThe ability to quickly build a trusted relationship with cross-functional customers Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft TeamsWorks well under pressure to meet deadlinesA creative and innovative thinkerAble to quickly build credibility with key stakeholdersAbout UsOur secret ingredient - our peopleIf you've got what it takes to join some of the food service industry's best and brightest, we want to hear from you.
