Mediplacements are seeking a highly skilled and experienced band 6 Haematology and Blood Transfusion Biomedical Scientist to join our client's team in Cambridgeshire.
The pay for this position is GBP27-GBP29 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Need a Band 6 BMS with experience in haematology and Blood transfusion (including blood morphology) to work 24/7 shift after initial training and competency assessment.
Equipment:
Sysmex XN-10, SP10 and CS-2500 for haematology, Grifols Eflexis for BT, Winpath Enterprise LIMS
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests on blood samples to diagnose and monitor medical conditions related to blood disorders and transfusions.
- Verify compatibility between donors and recipients, detect and prevent transfusion reactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of blood products in medical settings.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and adhere to strict quality control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and support.
