Position Statement:

The Analyst Corporate Accounting collaborates closely with the Manager Corporate Accounting, overseeing crucial accounting processes that directly impact the company's financial health. This role demands a blend of accounting expertise, analytical prowess, and presentation skills to streamline the monthly close process and navigate intricate accounting transactions.

Responsibilities include conducting balance sheet and P&L analyses, managing intercompany loan activities, and handling general ledger entries

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager Corporate Accounting, the Analyst will be pivotal in devising and executing strategies to enhance Hilton's Center of Excellence, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and customer-centric approach that optimizes productivity without compromising quality. This role plays a central part in driving successful change initiatives.

Effective communication and influence across all organizational levels, internal and external stakeholder engagement, as well as adept multitasking and meeting tight deadlines, constitute essential attributes of this position.

Essential Functions:

Directing Activities


• Conducting variance analysis, evaluating business performance, fulfilling ad-hoc reporting requests, and proposing actions to align with Hilton's financial objectives.

• Collaborating with third-party service providers to ensure comprehensive data compilation for accurate accounting conclusions and disclosures.

• Managing monthly closure, ledger maintenance, and cost accounting.

• Executing critical closing journal entries and overseeing reports/projects to ensure GAAP compliance.

• Supporting/accomplishing accounting accruals, including bonus accruals, operating/non-operating expense accruals.

• Analyzing accounting data in Hyperion Financial Management, identifying variances, and proposing necessary steps.

• Addressing key accounting issues for senior management review, minimizing company risk, ensuring proper accounting treatment.

• Collaborating with Senior Management on analysis, budgeting, forecasting efforts, and cost center reporting.

• Handling audit inquiries.

• Managing Asset Management Accounting and system operations.

• Performing RSP Accounting.

• Executing Intercompany Accounting.

• Calculating Net Profit.

• Managing Treasury Statements.

• Reconciling Balance Sheets.

• Reporting Corporate Costs.

• Processing Purchase accounting entries.

• Managing Minimum Guarantees.

• Overseeing Key Money operations.

• Handling Development Bonus tasks.

• Performing Analytics.

• Assisting with STAT accounts and Tax queries.

• Conducting Gross Up Calculations.

• Managing Fund accounting.

• Overseeing Deferred Charges accounting.

• Administering Blackline and Code Block.

• Enforcing work policies, ensuring compliance with standards and SOX requirements.

• Reporting findings to stakeholders, fostering constructive relationships across finance and corporate departments.

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, adaptable to new programs.

• Relevant analytical work experience.

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft & Blackline.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent experience.

• Pursuing or open to pursuing professional accounting certification.
