We're in search of a Solutions Architect to join our client’s Trading Systems Infrastructure team. Our client is a global leading trading firm takes a research approach to trading, having built an ultra-sophisticated computing environment for R&D, being at the forefront of innovation in algo trading. The role focuses on crafting and refining trading infrastructure for optimized low-latency trading, whether it's on-premise or in the cloud. We're seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with strong expertise in AWS. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering scalable, secure, and reliable solutions on their AWS Linux-based crypto trading platform.


Responsibilities:


  • Define, standardize, and implement technical requirements for high-frequency crypto trading systems on AWS, emphasizing performance and reliability.
  • Seamlessly integrate new solutions with existing systems, bridging both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to support system management and optimization efforts.
  • Employ Terraform and Salt (Infrastructure as Code tools) to ensure platform consistency and scalability.
  • Optimize performance for both bare metal and cloud environments.
  • Research and apply network latency optimization techniques to enhance trading efficiency.
  • Provide support to internal teams throughout the implementation process.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience as a Solutions Architect with a focus on AWS, preferably in high-frequency trading environments or similar performance-focused roles.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration and engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Experience with Terraform and Salt (or similar tools) for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with managing hardware components.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and on-premise networking for application-side requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.


Preferred Skills:


  • Familiarity with AWS internals.
  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and trading systems.
