We are Act III, a game development studio based in Brighton&Hove working on an exciting unannounced AAA project.

Overview


We are looking for talented software engineers with graduate, junior or midlevel experience to join us. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and side-by-side with more senior engineers to learn and make visions come alive. We are in early stages of our project, and so are looking for people who are interested in a broad range of areas while being able to demonstrate depth of knowledge.


Currently, we have work around world building (pipeline tech, creating tools), characters (core animation systems) and mission/story tech (mission scripting support and cinematics).


We support remote work, although in-house/hybrid is somewhat preferred for junior applicants to breathe in our company culture strengthen your connection with the team. It's not a hard requirement, talk to us about that


Responsibilities


  • Create experiences within a team, and as part of that, design and build systems to make them happen.
  • Deliver high-quality code and assets that solve interesting problems.
  • Review code written by your peers.
  • Maintain and debug existing systems.
  • Work with producers and leads to shape and scope your work.


Qualifications


  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Game Programming or similar.
  • You have trust in your C++ knowledge.
  • You have worked with Unreal Engine, be it as part of your studies or previous work experience.
  • You are thrilled to learn new skills from others, be it technical or creative, and are comfortable with communication.
