Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic Architectural / Urban Designer with 2-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creativity, great communication skills, and a strategic approach to design. They should possess both the technical expertise and the strategic vision necessary to contribute to our projects effectively.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop conceptual designs for large-scale architectural and urban projects, with a focus on retail, leisure, and public space activation.
  • Utilise creativity and lateral thinking to generate innovative conceptual solutions that align with project goals and client requirements.
  • Translate conceptual ideas into detailed design drawings and presentations using AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Produce 3D models and renderings using SketchUp to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of Placemaking strategies that enhance the user experience and promote community engagement.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform design decisions and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and respond to feedback effectively.
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the design and construction process to ensure project success.
  • Demonstrate strong freehand sketching abilities to communicate design ideas quickly and effectively (beneficial).


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design or related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in architectural and urban design, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with SketchUp for 3D modeling and rendering.
  • Strong freehand sketching abilities (beneficial).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to approach design challenges from multiple perspectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
  • Passion for creating vibrant and engaging environments that enrich the user experience.
