Leading and assisting, as necessary, the design of large-scale and high-profile masterplans and urban design projects
Acting as Group Leader on key aspects of projects (leading the urban design aspect of a multi-disciplinary project)
Coordinating and managing the technical inputs of some junior colleagues, and occasionally external consultants
Writing reports, creating presentations, drawings, diagrams, technical drawings, and other deliverables, ensuring timely submission and high-quality output
Writing and preparing proposals for new projects, including evaluating scopes of work and structuring proposals
Supervising and guiding junior colleagues, including urban planners, urban designers, and interns.
A bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or Architecture and a postgraduate degree/diploma in Urban Design
Minimum of 7-8 years of relevant work experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment, with a focus on urban planning and design projects
Good design, writing, and presentation skills
A good knowledge of current urban design and masterplanning best practices and sustainable development
A good understanding of UK and International design and planning processes and the role of all necessary disciplines within a project team
Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of a second language is an added bonus
General knowledge of the following common software types is important with good knowledge in some of the following:
Autodesk products such as Civil3d and AutoCAD
Sketchup
