David Harber Ltd create sculpture, water features and sundials for high net worth individuals in the UK and internationally. The company sells a range of ‘classic’ designs and is also commissioned to create bespoke works for private and corporate clients. Every piece is made to commission in our workshop in Oxfordshire.
David Harber Ltd has an enviable reputation in the UK and the brand is strong amongst the existing client base. As global markets change and we have ambitious plans to exceed our revenue targets, we require a dedicated New Business Development Consultant in the sales team to focus on the United States.
As part of our exciting growth plans, this role will build upon our existing new business strategy forming new relationships both in the UK and the US. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, pursue, and secure New Business opportunities. This critical role will be responsible for hunting and securing new opportunities for David Harber Ltd and building a portfolio of b2b and b2c customers both in US and the UK.
This is a role that focuses on 100% new business creation and researching new revenue streams for all David Harber Ltd products. The role takes full responsibility for building a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities and presents large scale tailored solutions to new prospects. Working to targets and KPI’s this position involves self time and diary management.
As the face of David Harber for brand new customers you will establish and build strong relationships to last a lifetime, you will tell the stories, open customer’s eyes and deliver the magical experience that will entice repeat business and shared experiences.
You will be involved in creating new events and networking opportunities for new business sales outside of the core David Harber established events/shows and you will build partnerships and commercial opportunities through innovative ways to share our brand.
Candidate Specification
You have a solid background in generating sales from new business development activity and building relationships with new customers. Previous experience of selling into the US or other global markets a distinct advantage. Experience of selling into the creative/design or luxury market would be also be a distinct advantage.
You have a strong background in solution selling and opening new doors, you are a self starter and self manage with ease. You are resilient, passionate about the brand and committed to achieving a target. You thrive in new environments, love to network and are not scared to seek new opportunities.
You will need to be able to demonstrate previous strong sales results and examples of where you have innovated to create new opportunities.
Based remotely, this role will spend a lot of time face to face with customers, primarily in London with travel across the UK, this position will involve regular travel to the US for meetings and events. Travel to our site near Didcot for initial training and induction will be required, with regular visits onsite for updates and meetings.
