Position Overview: As the HR Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture and driving organisational success. You will lead the HR function, implementing strategic initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing and dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide guidance and support to senior leadership on all HR-related matters.
  2. Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent in genetics, biotechnology, and related fields. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to build a diverse and high-performing team.
  3. Employee Engagement: Champion a positive and inclusive work culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being. Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  4. Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and talent development plans. Provide coaching and support to managers to drive employee performance and development.
  5. Learning and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities. Identify learning opportunities and career paths to support employee growth and development.
  6. HR Operations: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
  7. Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues. Resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
  8. Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation. Effectively communicate changes and ensure employee understanding and buy-in.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in the UK.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
