About the role


We're growing extremely quickly and this role will take charge of our Operations function and take ownership in leading Healf to have an Amazon-level reputation amongst our customers for our incredibly reliable and efficient operation. You will be building systems across Operations areas that ultimately stems from the complexity of holding inventory and managing a very large numbr SKUs. We already have reliable systems here but would expect this hire to bring oversight & an experienced outlook on these to ensure they take us to £200M+ and beyond.


Areas of Focus


1) Leading Operations


  • Direction - someone who can intelligently lead the strategy of our Operations. Zone out and see the holes in what we're doing and able to shape things to have the highest impact.
  • Ownership - someone who will fight tooth and nail to fix various issues that arise and lead with urgency in mind to put in place robust solutions to prevent them happening again
  • Building Systems - you're able to see a problem, get to the core of it and build a robust long term solution around it to prevent it happening again
  • Data-led - one of the areas we're lacking is having clear visibility across Operations and so leading with data is something we're keen to instil - data is a critical part of this role
  • Team Development - we already have a fantastic team doing a great job at ensuring Healf grows in the best possible way. One of our core reasons for hiring this role is to grow the people within this team and expand the scope of what's possible & can be achieved in Operations. Personal development for everyone in the team will be critical to success here


2) Supply Chain (Inventory Management & Procurement)


  • This is at the core of all things Operations at Healf so needs to be something that drives your passions and excitement. This in short ensuring that we're available of stock for 3000 SKUs across the business, have visibility across the entire supply chain and maintain a lean operation as we scale.
  • Managing inbound supply chain across 150 brand partners and ensuring this works as efficiently as possible. There is so much room to build a better system here than we currently have
  • Managing our warehouse (3PL) to ensure they run smoothly, hit their KPIs and generally are kept in check
  • Other key things include: ensuring great systems when things go out of stock, maintaining our pre-order system and visibility across the business, build dashboards for key KPIs.


3) Connecting Operations to drive CX


  • Problems in Operations ultimately affect our Customer and as we scale it is critical that we build an incredible reputation here - word spreads (both positively & negatively) so it's critical for the future of the business that we get this right. Think how Amazon are known for their extremely reliable operation - that's our north star
  • Ensure our Customer Wellbeing team has accurate information around our supply chain to notify customers
  • Actively taking a lead in fixing CX issues and driving an incredible customer reputation operationally.


4) Connecting Operations to Finance & Cashflow


  • The 2nd key area that Operations impact is finance - both preventing leakages and also driving towards improving our working capital cycle and cashflow.
  • Staying lean - keeping our stock days low, preventing overstocking and building great systems, reporting & KPIs around this
  • Expired product - building robust systems to stay on top of this and prevent a product ever expiring
  • Working closely with finance function on everything from 3-way-matching to damaged goods and returns
