Your new role:

They are seeking a skilled and experienced estimator with a strong background in housing projects to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering projects, with a particular focus on residential housing developments.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals and tender documents.
  • Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide support in value engineering and cost control measures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods.


What you'll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally in housing projects. If not, ideally within earthworks
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant degree or certificate in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
