We are working with a well established architectural practice to recruit a Principal Designer or Architectural Technician to join them. The key aspect of this role is to monitor and update all drawing packages to adhere to recent changes in building regulations.UK A Principal Designer plays a crucial role in the construction industry, particularly in projects that involve multiple contractors. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated into the design phase of a project.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

• Experience in design and construction processes.

• Effective communication and project management skills.

• Professional qualifications in construction, engineering, or architecture, often supported by health and safety certifications.

Recent changes to the UK Building Regulations reflect the government's push toward improving safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability. The person who is appointed into this position must have recent working knowledge of:

1. Fire Safety (Part B)

2. Energy Efficiency (Part L)

3. Ventilation (Part F)

4. Electric Vehicle Charging (Part S)

5. Accessibility (Part M)

6. Overheating (Part O)

7. Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)

8. Retrofitting and Existing Buildings
