3Search is partnering with a well established but fast growing global business in the B2C wellness/ed tech space, who help people with their personal and self development journey.

The company are in a significant phase of growth and expanding into new regions, so this is a hugely exciting time to join. With around 75% of the company revenue generated from membership subscriptions, this role plays a critical part in the success of the organisation.


Reporting to the CEO/Founder, the purpose of this newly created role is to drive the overall strategy to accelerate the memberships division - in essence, the acquisition and retention of members and the proposition/revenue opportunities. You are effectively the MD of the division and will have full ownership of the strategy across all commercial areas of the division and also own the ambitious revenue targets.


The Commercial Director responsibilities include::

  • Retention and Growth: Develop strategies to retain and grow the membership customer base.
  • Product Leadership: Lead the Membership Business Unit, ensuring the product's commercial success and alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Customer Focus: Drive initiatives that enhance the membership experience, increase engagement, and foster long-term loyalty.
  • Strategic Vision: Contribute to the broader company strategy by aligning membership goals with company vision for the future.



Required skills and experience:

  • Significant prior experience in a B2C subscriptions/membership business at a senior level. This is non-negotiable. The client will not consider B2B experience.
  • Experience of having commercial ownership of membership acquisition and retention strategies including marketing, product, customer service, sales
  • Experience of working in a scaling business and so understands how to work with agility and pace and is a self-starter
  • Can thrive in a matrix organisation, with great stakeholder relationship skills
