Manchester Airport Storage & Hydrant Company (MASHCo) maintains and delivers fuel to aircraft at Manchester Airport. We operate to JIG standards; and place key emphasis on quality, competence, and compliance to demonstrate a high level of performance ensuring minimal disruption to Airport Operations.


The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the site management team, ensuring efficient running of the operation and supporting the Operations and Maintenance teams as necessary.


The role is a 12 Month FTC, the salary is £15,000 based on 20 hours per week


Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Operations and Maintenance Manager by raising purchase orders in a timely manner to meet operational requirements, through North Air finance system.
  • Assist in information gathering and populating various databases and spreadsheets as required.
  • Raise airside pass applications in a timely manner (for staff and contractors), using the Airport Gateway booking system.
  • Maintain supply of office equipment and stationery as required.
  • Maintain site PPE at suitable level, keep records of stock as necessary.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule meetings on behalf of site management as necessary.
  • Provide general support to visitors.
  • Assist as required with any audits carried out by the company, partners, customers, or other authority.
  • Order spare parts and liaise with key suppliers in a timely manner, in direct liaison with site maintenance team.

Experience:

  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience of Health & Safety requirements/procedures.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and think logically.
  • Experience within a similar role – administrative assistant, secretary.

IT/Computer Literacy – Good level of competence of all Microsoft applications.


Desirable

  • Knowledge and competent use of finance system (desirable).
  • Administrative experience or Office Management/Secretary.
