What do they look for in an ETL and Data Migration Specialist?

They are looking for a motivated and experienced ETL and Data Migration Specialist to join their Data Teams. You will work as part of a team to help them expand their data reporting and analytics offering for users of their market leading applications.


Your responsibilities as an ETL and Data Migration Specialist can include:


  • Designing, building and deploying new ETL solutions
  • Scoping new projects, estimating timescales for completion of the work.
  • Maintaining and improving existing ETL suites, ensuring data is handled efficiently and new features and database changes are incorporated and released seamlessly
  • Migrating new data from a variety of different systems into their market leading application
  • Collaborating closely with other teams, directors and customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions in a timely manner
  • Handling of multiple different and evolving datasets for existing and new markets



What are they looking for in you?

You should be able to demonstrate your experience with the following:


  • Experience with troubleshooting and solving complex data problems
  • Working knowledge of developing ETL solutions
  • Experience of Git and/or other source control software
  • SQL and relational databases


Additionally, experience or exposure with any of the following would be beneficial.

  • Agile methodologies and principles, preferably in a scrum framework
  • Coding using. Python, R, Java
