About the job


BEAUTYSTREAMS, the global insights platform for beauty companies

worldwide, is currently seeking a passionate Copy Editor. This is a unique

opportunity for a beauty and grammar aficionado who enjoys being part of a fast-

paced, international team.


We offer flexible working hours. Life-balance benefits for long-time contractors. Compensation for 15-20 hours a week: approx. US $1,000-1,500 (depending on experience and hours).


About you


Key responsibilities:

- Proofread text and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors

- Verify factual correctness of information such as product, brand, and

ingredient names

- Check text for logical inconsistencies and repetition

- Improve clarity and ensure accessibility for the target audience

- Polish writers’ English expression, if and where needed

- Adjust copy and format to match the BEAUTYSTREAMS style guide (which

will be provided)

- Respect the company’s tone of voice

- Work closely with the BEAUTYSTREAMS Editor in Chief and Managing Editor

to assure clean and timely delivery



Essential skills and experience:

- Outstanding copyediting skills with an attention to detail

- High standard of written English

- Strong work ethic. High standards for copy style and accuracy

- Journalism, Communications, or English major

- Strong interest in beauty and future lifestyles

- Able to communicate with other team members, especially the writers,

effectively

- Self-motivated. Decisive. Highly adaptable. Works well independently or

within a team

- Able to work with tight schedules and multiple deadlines, ensuring all

projects are delivered on time and of high quality

- Knowledgeable in the basic editorial formats and practices

- Able to work with internal style guides
