What you’ll do

  • Purchase ledger (entering invoices on Business Central system)
  • Reconciling supplier account ready for payment.
  • Sales ledger (raising invoices to customers, preparing and issuing customer statements)
  • Dealing with requests from customer for copy invoices
  • Credit Control – chasing outstanding balances when required.
  • Postings payments (sales & purchase) onto Business Central system
  • Dealing with queries and raising credits for customers.
  • Inputting information and maintaining customer/supplier ledger.
  • Helping with other general account duties and support when required including holiday cover
  • Input of journals into Business Central at month end
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations


Who you are

  • Recent Sales/Purchase Ledger experience
  • Management accounting desirable
  • Attention to detail & adaptable to a varied & fluctuating workload.
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Good IT skills - Excel experience is essential.
  • Hold an accounting qualification or studying towards E.G AAT Level 2 or above or ACCA.


Location

At Mercury, we believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration. That’s why we encourage our team members to join us at our Coleshill office on Mondays and Tuesdays. However, we’re all about flexibility, so we support remote work from Wednesday through Friday if that’s your preference.
