About the Position

We are looking for an Associate Research Director to join our business This position sits within our Animal Health & Nutrition Customer Insights team, and you would report into the Senior Director. This is a full-time position based in Leatherhead, working a hybrid model.


As the Associate Research Director, you will lead a team of Researchers, drive Customer Insight projects, and collaborate with Animal Health clients.


We are seeking a seasoned research leader with expertise in quantitative Market Research and a passion for Animal Health. Join us in fostering a positive team environment and driving impactful projects from start to finish


Responsibilities

People Management & Leadership:

  • You will manage 1-2 Researchers and will contribute towards resource allocation, project oversight, performance management, team engagement, development and training


Research Design & Proposal Development:

  • You will develop proposals; this includes proposal writing, preparing specs, project pricing and timelines, cost estimation, case studies and desk research. You will be supported by Research Directors and methodology experts in our team.
  • You will design studies, write questionnaires and topic guides


Project Execution:

  • You will project management from end to end and will have full responsibility of research documents. On complex projects, you will be supported by Research Directors and methodology experts in our team.
  • You will support and guide junior Kynetec colleagues throughout projects

Quantitative projects:

  • You will design questionnaires in conjunction with our internal experts
  • You will oversee the data collection processes such as preparing study specifications for Operations and/or agencies, client reports, drafting questionnaires, script set up, quota monitoring, sample delivery, troubleshooting and testing
  • You will lead on data analysis and reporting


Analysis & Reporting:

  • You will write client research reports, creating impactful reports with detailed and meaningful insights using ThinkStoryLine and infographic methods
  • You will analyse data and use a variety of tools to interrogate the data for meaningful results
  • You will create insightful research reports with action led recommendations to support your clients in their decision-making
  • You will present, and talk through results through with clients, ensuring client expectations are fully fulfilled on all projects for which you are responsible


About You

Essential –

  • 5+ years of experience working in Customer Insights Market Research
  • 5+ years of experience working in Quantitative Market Research
  • Demonstrable expert Project Management skills
  • Nurtures client relationships, adding value, writing innovative proposals and winning new business
  • Advanced analytical skills and enjoys presenting to large audiences of all levels
  • Some leadership/managerial experience
  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • Has a passion for animal health, and pets
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude; Flourishes in a collaborative and innovative company
  • Willingness to commute to our office in Leatherhead, UK on a weekly basis (at least once per week)


Preferred, but not essential –

  • Knowledge/experience of Animal Health and Nutrition, within a Market Research setting
  • Experience working in both Quant and Qual


Additional Notes –

  • The successful candidate will be required to attend our office in Leatherhead at least once per week (Church St, Leatherhead, KT22 8ER)
  • Please note there is no onsite parking. A car park is situated in front of the office. Many roads nearby offer free parking
  • The interview process consists of 2 separate meetings: 1 virtual and 1 in-person where you will be asked to come into our offices, complete and task and meet the team
  • Preferred start date is Oct/Nov 2024
