Sharpsmart Finance team have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join the fast paced team based in Spennymoor.


The Finance Assistant will support the finance team in a range of credit control dealing with our business customers to collect outstanding payments ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner.


Key Role Focus

  • Ensuring accurate invoices are raised
  • Review and reconcile integrations from operating platforms to the finance software
  • Coordinate set up of new customers including contract checks and pricing
  • Ensuring customers adhere to credit and collection procedures
  • Issuing statements
  • Promptly providing backing data to customers
  • Daily cash allocations and reconciliations
  • Responding to customer queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Effective communication with contract managers and customers to resolve overdue balances
  • Oversight and management of shared mailbox


Candidate Profile

  • Excellent communication skills for verbal and written
  • Experience of interacting with customers via phone/email/video
  • Highly self-motivated, and able to work both independently or as part of a team, managing your own workload and priorities
  • Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to use and adapt to new computer-based systems including Microsoft packages
