**Finance Apprentice**

**Location**:
Spennymoor, County Durham

**Salary**:
National Minimum Wage in Year 1 and Real Living Wage in Year 2, plus pension, and competitive benefits

**Contract Type**:
Initially fixed term (24 Months) with the potential to become permanent if all apprenticeship milestones are successfully completed.

**Hours**:
Full Time (37 Hours per week)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and enterprising apprentice to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work and develop as part of a dedicated team delivering an excellent customer service to our internal customers.

**About the role**

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to start their career in finance. You will gain experience in all areas of our finance team, and whilst learning basic financial processes, you will:

- Assist the Income team by delivering great customer service and provide support with managing the Accounts Receivable ledger.
- Assist the Finance team with Treasury Management, Rent setting/service charges, Fixed asset accounting as well as other finance functions.
- Provide support to the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing and provide payments to various stakeholders of the business.

You will work towards completing the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and following successful completion, the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting as part of your apprenticeship.

**About you**

You will be highly organised and able to keep on top of priorities, taking responsibility & ownership of allocated tasks whether working on your own or with others.

Adopting a flexible approach, you will be curious and observant with a general can-do attitude towards new challenges, and a willingness to learn and adapt to business needs.

You will have the ability to work independently, take your own initiative, and also work with our diverse teams and customers.
