Key Responsibilities:


Support Health and Safety Procedures:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.


Incident Reporting and Investigation:

  • Support the investigation of workplace accidents and incidents, ensuring that proper documentation is maintained.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports following incidents, including recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and safety inspections.


Training and Awareness:

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Assist in preparing for external audits and inspections.


Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and update health and safety records, including risk assessments, safety audits, and training logs.
  • Prepare and distribute health and safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager.


Emergency Preparedness:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  • Participate in emergency drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.
  • Support the coordination of first aid training and ensure that first aid kits are adequately stocked.


Qualifications:


Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the energy sector or a similar industry.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and delivering safety training.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent


Skills:

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
