Harvest Integrated Research Organization


We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager based in the UK to focus on driving sales and helping find and develop clients across Europe. The Business Development Manager will drive the end-to-end sales process by leading initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. Reporting to the VP of Commercial Strategy, you are part of the commercial team and “own” the tactical plan to drive growth within the market.


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify new partnership opportunities by researching organizations and individuals to conduct cold outreach.
  • Continuously conduct outreach to target clients.
  • Leverage industry contacts to generate new leads and RFPs.
  • Lead cross-company communication to identify opportunities for the company to increase value to clients.
  • Plan and host networking events to increase the visibility of the HiRO brand to prospective clients.
  • Represent the company at various conferences and events.
  • Lead the bid defense process by developing costing models, presentations, cross-department coordination, and presenting at bid defense meetings.
  • Win project awards to meet or exceed individual sales goals.
  • Maintain existing business by building a deep understanding of client needs.
  • Think critically when planning to assure project success.


Qualifications


  • 3 - 4 years' prior life science related business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful business development strategies.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, and Internet).Focused and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines.
  • Excellent understanding of business and Industry Trends and ability to interpret the trends relevant to the business.
  • This role requires travel based on business needs
